3 mentors event

nformation: 3 Mentors is a company based in GA that provides training and services for financial
advisors. In January 2011, they contacted me to provide evening entertainment at their Top Producers. Conference at the Laguna Niguel, CA Ritz-Carlton.

After inquiring about their past entertainment, I learned that they had been very pleased with some comedians that they had hired in the past, so I started investigating their company to find out more information about their leadership and services. After writing some custom jokes, I made some modifications to my 45 minute show that would personalize the event.

During the close-up magic, the 3 principals of the company approached me to perform some magic for
themselves and some VIPs at the event. President Gary Reed’s first response: “You should have charged us double!” That’s always a great sign for an event, and the rest of the crowd had the same joy in watching the performance.

During the after-dinner program, a VIP in the crowd decided to “chime in” with his own comments a few times. Rather than dismiss them or try to quiet the person, I incorporated his outbursts into the comedy and made everybody in the crowd feel at home. The show resulted in 2 standing ovations, and I received a great testimonial afterward.
